Instructional Technology Tutorial

Overview

One goal of this Ed.S. program is to prepare you to take the leadership role in the area of instructional technology at your schools. This assessment is designed to assist you to reach this goal by creating video tutorials for your fellow teachers to view.

Your task is to produce a video to introduce a tool/website/app to your fellow teachers. The choice of the tool/website/app is yours. You can pick one from the text, Untangling the web or Websites and Apps for Teachers. If you want to pick one that is not listed, please contact the instructor first.

There are two options to “film” your video. The first method is to use screen capture program, such as Camtasia or Screencast-O-Matic when the tool is web-based or desktop-based. If the tool is app based, you need to use a smartphone to videotape your introduction and operation of the app.
